Need volunteers

ABC is looking for people to help out at the Summer Fest on June 4th and 5th. Have a little time you can spend? There are many different ways you and your family can volunteer to help out such as staffing booths, selling tickets, checking water bowls, helping out with games, or cleaning and setting up. The Summer fest is two days and there will be a big turn out of dog lovers and their owners.

Breakfast with Bassets

Saturday, May 14th, ABC will be hosting "Breakfast with Bassets" at sites all over New York State. "We are asking all attending to bring a gift/donation to join the breakfast. These gifts/donations will then be used for our baskets at our main fund raiser event of the year the first weekend in June, in Rochester. Donation Ideas include: dog products, basset items, candles, wine, gift certificates, home decor etc. We are asking that all gifts be new, not used", said Kathy Penny, volunteer coordinator for the Rochester site. Invite to help with the Rescue Rally

Hello Everyone,

This coming June, ABC Basset Hound Rescue, Inc is doing something that is totally differnt than ever before. ABC will be hosting a indoor event in Rochester, at the Fair & Expo Center!

Just think---weather will not matter! Will there be enough room? How about 23,000sq feet---How big is that? Take the sqaure footage of your home and divide that into 23,000sq ft. for me that would 19 of my homes!

This is going to be a 2 day event---

Starting off with a friday night cook out in the RV parking lot--(right in front of the place)

Saturday---ABC's event with the bassets
games
food
raffles
entertainment
contests
and more

Sunday---ABC is hosting a Rescue Rally---opening up to other groups, rescues to give support and information about rescue and information running rescue.

This is a very different and huge undertaking! There is a fair size committee working on this event---it is headed up by Tom Rodwell and several others heading up sub-committees. To make sure this event is go off without a hitch----we need your help!
